To the Problem of Person's High Emotional State Recognition by his Speech

This article deals with the problem of the automatic recognition of high emotional state of a speaker by his speech. The complexity of this problem is largely due to the multicriteria of speech recognition, whereby a single comprehensive solution has not yet been proposed. The article provides an overview of existing approaches to the problem of person's emotional state determining by his speech, disadvantages each of them are marked. The article aims to evaluate the possibility of using an automated system, called by the authors "Phonetic Lie Detector", for automatic recognition of the state of mental and emotional excitement of the speaker by a small fragment of his sounding speech. The system works on the base of the theoretical-information approach and is founded on automatic evaluation of the speaker speech quality at the phonetic level on the system-wide Shannon criterion of the minimum required redundancy (MRR) of the speech signal. Thus the problem of the speech quality multicriteriality is achieved here by reduction to the generalized MRR criterion evaluation, forming by the comparison of elementary speech units (ESU) of the speaker with a set of ESU from the phonetic database of the Russian language. The research task was to test a group of students with the use of the PDL in the quiescent state (in the morning before classes) and in the state of emotional stress (in the evening, after study and irritating unpleasant news). The test aimed to determine the impact of their state on the speech quality evaluation, registered by the automated system. The experimental results clearly show that the PDL has a high sensitivity, thus it may be used for a rapid analysis of the emotional state of a speaker. The results may be used in theoretical researches (gender analysis) and in practice: in customer service centers, to determine the recipient psycho and the individual resistance to psychological stress.

An Approach for the Operational Planning Problems of Homogeneous Goods Delivery to Different Customers. Part 1

The operational planning problems solving of homogeneous goods delivery to different customers such as inventory management and looking for rational routes of goods delivery are considered in this article. The algorithm for searching the best inventory management strategy and a modified population based ant colony optimization algorithm (P-ACO) for getting the rational routes of homogeneous goods delivery to different customers are presented. At the same time a modified P-ACO algorithm takes into account different restrictions such as vehicle capacity, time windows, planning period, multiple depots, split delivery, heterogeneous fleet of vehicles, goods pickup and the rational goods packing at the time of rational routes construction. A considered modified P-ACO algorithm includes the following algorithms: Kini—Raif, nearest neighbor, sweep algorithm for selecting in the road graph only those arcs that satisfy some preferences (for example, the quality of roads, road tax) (Kini—Raif algorithm); for distribution all the customers to closest depot (nearest neighbor algorithm); for fast building of initial solution with pre-allocating customers among the depots (sweep algorithm).

Recognition of Separate Test and Real Flat Objects on Dimensionless Marks of Contours of their Bitmaps

The purpose of work is the pilot study of a possibility of application of dimensionless marks for recognition of objects in systems of machine sight. Test binary and real grayscale images of objects are entrance. On the basis of primary coefficients the vector of signs is formed. Are formed a set of etalons for each group of images. With use of a mean square deviation degree of similarity of a vector of marks of the unknown image and vectors of marks of standards is calculated. The minimum indicates belonging of the tested image to one of the set groups.

Recognition of Binary Images of the Objects Suffected to Affine Transformations

Application of pattern recognition and, in particular, a system of automatic processing of images of objects, allows for identification and prediction of environment condition and the object of study. To reduce the amount of information processed, detection it is convenient to conduct recognition of binary images. The most of images to be recognized comprise complex of affine transformations. This reduces the efficiency of identification due to distortion of indications. Also, the number of comparisons is increased significantly.
As an affine transformation we consider rotation of an image of side of the object around two axis passing through the center of the object image, with a change of scale to the center.
Research is performed on the basis of the system of three equations obtained by the authors which show the dependence of variation of the moments of inertia of the image when it is resized to the center along Y-axis of M times and N times along the Z-axis with the rotation of the axes of the image around the X-axis by the angle j.
By solving this system of equations on the basic of semigraphical method the values of M, N and j. Then turn identified carried image on the corners with the adjustment of the size of the values of M and N, as well as a direct comparison of the image obtained with the standard. Thus, after the preliminary calculations of various provisions of the bust recognizable image is limited to several provisions. If identifiable image corresponds to the standard, after conversion it will be the same as the standard.
In order to confirm the theoretical results of the computer modeling of the proposed method of detection. Experiments were carried out on four images are simplified silhouettes of leaves of trees: oak, aspen, maple and willow. The simulation results showed that only the appropriate reference image identified by the smallest discrepancy is within a certain allowable threshold differences. For other images, it is much higher.
Thus, using the proposed method of pattern recognition, the identification process can be performed on the model, while retaining sufficient reliability.

Decomposition Methods Analysis for Digital System Design Debugging

The task of digital systems project debugging is usually fulfilled by simulation. Due to the complexity and large dimensions of the task decomposition methods are proposed. The following methods are described and examined: vertical and horizontal structure decomposition, functional decomposition, decomposition based on error types.
The concept of an operator upon digital system memory is formally introduced on the algebraic approach bases. The concept of a generalized memory consisting of memory cells, register contents, active operator label and current time value is introduced. An operator functioning upon generalized memory is formalized. Structural analysis of an operator domain and operator range is fulfilled. The definition of operator's product is introduced, the condition of such a product existence is analyzed. It is shown that any digital system software is the product of operators, operator set is a semi group. The developed formal model is supposed to be used for the creation of digital systems software test generation.

The Experience of Design and Introduction into Service of the Computerised Ultrasound-Based Medical Equipment

The use of the ultrasound-based medical equipment is one of the most efficient and commonly accepted methods to provide for the time-critical and delicate non-invasive diagnosis of serious medical conditions such as a stroke or other blood circulatory system abnormalities.
However, the cost of the imported units varies from tens to hundreds of thousands of the US dollars, which makes these medical instruments practically inaccessible for the majority of healthcare institutions in Russia. The focus of this work is the development and the implementation of the methods and techniques for designing computerised ultrasound-based medical diagnostic equipment in order to create in Russia the scientific and technological basis for the production and adoption of the competitive medical equipment.
A system of simulation models developed at PJSC "INEUM named after I. S. Brook" is used now as the main technological tool for designing modern complexes for ultrasound-based diagnostics. The use of this system of simulation models allows to formalize the entire design cycle, from formulation of the medico-technical requirements to the feasibility (technical and economic) project and creation of a prototype to be presented for testing and certification. Formalization of the design process enables its standardization and allows to ensure the computer-added design tools, human resources and other required resources are available.
The simulation modelling allows to perform preliminary verification and testing of a number of various alternatives without incurring substantial expenses and to choose necessary parameters, algorithms and technical components before starting the actual creation and testing of a preproduction prototype.
A line of the computerised ultrasound-based diagnostic medical units in the "Complexmed" series was developed at PJSC "INEUM named after I. S. Brook" and is currently in production. This line of diagnostic units was designed using the aforementioned approach and the entire series is fully compliant with all the testing, licensing and certification requirements. The devices of the "Complexmed" series in various designs have been supplied for the past ten years to tens of medical institutions in Russia for performing Doppler and echoencephalographic examinations.
The use of the aforesaid method of designing the ultrasound-based medical equipment can be among ways to control and reduce the final costs of such equipment and would therefore enable production of state-of-the-art products at competitive prices that would serve substitution alternatives to higher-priced imported units.
