D., Leading Researcher, St. Petersburg Department of Joint Supercomputer Center of the RAS, St. Petersburg, Russian Federation Conceptual View on the Service Platform Architecture of the National Research Computer Network of Russia The paper is devoted to the service component of the National Research Computer Network (NIKS), de jure and de facto functioning and currently being developed as a national research and education network of Russia. A conceptual vision of the architecture of the NIKS service platform in the conditions of planned development is given, the features of the platform at different levels of presentation are discussed, including its core, the main sources of content, a service map and features of external interaction, including international. The characteristics of the current state and key trends in the development of service components of the world's leading national research and education networks are identified and discussed, general information on work plans to improve the NIKS service platform is provided.
