Virtual Reality and 3D Modeling Technologies for Digital Reconstruction of Cultural Heritage Objects

The paper describes the experience of creating a virtual tour of the estate of Chora Chersonesos using virtual reality technology for the HTC Vive platform. The hardware and software tools and technologies used to create 3D models of buildings and household items of Chersonesites are described. The features of the method of creating three-dimensional models using photogrammetry are demonstrated in comparison with the method using a structured light scanner using the example of a dishware of Chersonesites. The software tools that were used to develop a virtual tour are described. The developed platform can be used for the informatization of museum complexes, archaeological research and the educational process.
