Adaptive Bitrate Seamless Live Streaming over HTTP by Progressive Download Method

The paper proposes a technology for organizing the adaptive bitrate seamless live adjustment of image quality while changing the client channel effective in live streaming system based on the proggresive download. A server hosted method of measuring client channel bandwidth while live streaming has been proposed. Diverse technical issues related to the implementation of adaptive bitrate seamless streaming were discussed. Applicability conditions for the adaptive image quality adjustment for the technology under consideration were determined. A fair-functioning dispatch system that implements the adaptive bitrate seamless live streaming by proggresive download method has been described.
