Ogarev Mordovia State University (Saransk), Saransk, 430005, Russian Federation Design and Technological Parameterization in CAM The article describes the approach to the organization of a subsystem of design and technological parametrization applied to tasks in CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing). The approach is based on the principle of multilevel parametrization and includes sets of parametric variables organized at five levels of the hierarchy: external variables of the design model, general variables of the processing plan, processing variables, feature variables and control program variables. The hierarchical structure of parametric variables allows end-to-end parameterization and associativity of the control program, provides a uniform set of parameters for all tasks that users solve in a CAM system. A rigid hierarchy of variables allows you to divide the scope of use of parameters in a simple and reliable way. The subsystem of parametrization is implemented as a part of the commercial CAM-application for milling processing integrated into the KOMPAS-3D CAD-platform. Examples of calculating of cutting parameters, creating user trajectory for 3D-milling and programming postprocessor using parametrization are given. | |||||||||
