Relations between Significance and Aging of Information when Control Big Technical Systems

The growth of the amount of information necessary for making management decisions dictates the need to take into account its impact on the effectiveness of this process. The latter is especially relevant in cases of control of large technical systems, since the process of their operation is associated with the need to process a large amount of information characterizing its state. This information has a different value for a group of decision makers from the standpoint of its contribution to minimizing the information entropy of a large technical system. In the framework of this work, three approaches to the relationship of value and aging of information are considered. Their features and disadvantages are noted. The paper proposes a model of the relationship between the value and aging of information of large technical systems, which is based on an assessment of the reduction in the value of information entropy as a result of its processing. The presented model can be applied in the formation of engineering methods for assessing the quality and efficiency of the functioning of information support systems for decision support for large technical systems. As a practical example, the collector-beam system for collecting products from a gas-condensate field is considered. This kind of collection systems is used at the Orenburg gas condensate field. The collector-beam collection system is a cluster pipeline system connected to the input filament unit of the integrated gas preparation unit. Using the model of the relationship of the value and aging of information, an assessment was made of the value change of information about the gas, condensate, water flow rates and wellhead pressure in the collector-beam collection system for 50 calendar months. The model of the relationship between the value and aging of information of large technical systems realizes the possibility of assessing the dynamics of change in the value of information for a group of decision-makers by assessing changes in the values of information-entropy of a large technical system with this information. The latter will improve the efficiency of their management and minimize the cost of their operation.
