Repeated application of statistical comparison criteria leads to a significant increase of the probability of erroneous identification of differences in cases where they are statistically insignificant. An algorithm is proposed for assessing the significance of differences in the problem of managing the design of a biomedical study, taking into account variations in the values of a pairwise statistical criterion. An example of using the algorithm for oculographic data is given.
