Hydraulic Actuator of Shagania Mechanism with Hydraulic Cumulators

Most powerful walking excavators-draglines are equipped with a walking movement mechanism with a hydraulic drive, which ensures smooth running and regulation of the step size. At the same time, such mechanisms do not fully use the energy of the raised excavator in the process of pacing. In the article the scheme of the pacing mechanism with accumulators is considered, which makes it possible to increase the efficiency of the walking process.

Relations of Active and Reactive Loads in Mechanisms of Working Equipment of a Hydraulic Excavator

It is shown that the loading of the main mechanisms of the working equipment of hydraulic excavators in comparison with electromechanical excavators is substantially higher due to the growth of reactive loads due to the sequential coupling of the mechanisms. The interdependencies between the power parameters of the main mechanisms on the basis of the power transfer functions of the mechanisms taking into account the kinematic features of the principal mechanisms are determined. The coefficient of reactive load, which characterizes the magnitude of the reactive load within the working area of the excavator, is proposed.

Modeling the Working Process of a Hydraulic Excavator

For a hydraulic excavator with a "direct" shovel working equipment, a mathematical model, an algorithm and a program in an algorithmic language have been developed, which allow determining the working area of the excavator, possible digging forces, and efforts in the elements of the working equipment. For the excavator with a bucket capacity of 4 m3, studies were carried out to determine the boundaries of the working area, to calculate the digging effort. Studies show the dependence of the digging force on the position of the bucket, on the maximum effort in the hydraulic cylinders of the working equipment.

Increasing of Service Life the Teeth Bucket Excavator Type Direct Shovel

The urgency of the search for solutions for increasing the wear resistance of bucket teeth of an excavator type direct shovel is analyzed. The reasons for the wear of the teeth are considered. It is determined that when working excavators for rocks of VIII and IX categories, shock-abrasive wear of the inner side of the teeth and abrasive external wear occurs. It has been proved that the cold hardening of Hadfield's steel (the material for making the teeth), which occurs during the work of the excavator teeth in the breeds of VIII and IX categories, reduces the speed of shock abrasive wear on the inner side of the teeth and does not affect the abrasive wear of the outer. The method of thermomechanical processing of the outer side of the excavator tooth is proposed. It can increase the wear resistance of Hadfield's steel (110G13L) up to 1.7 times and lead to the effect of self-sharpening of the tooth due to equalization of the wear rate of the outer and inner parts of the tooth. The efficiency of thermomechanical treatment for reducing the rate of abrasive wear of Hadfield steel has been experimentally proven.

Analysis and Estimation of the Stability of the Operating Modes of the Purification Mechanized Complex

The degree of stability of the operating modes of the clean-up mechanized complexes in the complex mechanically cleaned faces of coal mines between interruptions for technological, technical or mining-geological reasons is analyzed. A method is proposed for assessing the degree of stability of the operating modes of complexes with an indicator equal to the ratio of their actual productivity to the estimated productivity for the period under consideration. The stability index is numerically equal to the product of the process stability factor with respect to the speed of the slaughter movement by the coefficient of stability of the work on the time of the excavating machine (combine). The influence of transient processes during sequential switching of the complex's mechanisms on the reduction of the stability of the excavation process is noted. The role of the adaptability of the cleaned mechanized complex to the changing mining and geological conditions and the co-adaptivity of the machinery and equipment of the complex in enhancing the stability of the operation of complexes in rational regimes is pointed out.

Innovative Approach to the Design of the Main Mine Drainage Systems

The article presents the shortcomings of the existing approach to the design of the main mine drainage systems, which lead to an increase in operating costs for water drainage. An innovative approach to the design of complexes is considered, assuming a change in priorities — the minimum permissible level of safety to provide the least expensive option for choosing water-pumping equipment and the volume of catchment tanks for economic reasons. Technical and economic criteria of this approach to the design of dewatering complexes have been considered and recommended. The net discounted income is recommended as the main criterion, since it takes into account the time factor and allows considering the results obtained in comparable form. The conclusion is made that the implementation of the proposed innovative approach, in addition to reducing the costs of operating the drainage system, will improve the safety of mining operations.

Mobile Tunnelingunit for the Combined Destruction of Rocks in Underground Conditions

Mining conditions are constantly deteriorating throughout recent years. But despite the increasing of mining difficulty it is still required high safety and labor efficiency altogether with reasonable cost of mining. One of the most promising decisions is the usage of waterjet technologies in mining.
The article proposes to readers a prospective mobile unit to destruct rocks by combined influence on them of abrasive water jets (AWJ) and mechanical tools. There is a principal scheme of the unit is represented as well as its working principle. It is also described a method to predict depth of cut when cutting rock with AWJ, which is quite simple, useful, and universal enough. Authors also represent a criterion of destruction initiation. It is a threshold velocity of abrasive particle at the moment of its crushing into rock's surface. The value of this parameter should be enough to guarantee that abrasive particle has kinetic energy to make stress within the rock more than its strength. This criterion is in the form useful for engineers, which is an equation to estimate minimal nominal water pressure required to accelerate abrasive particles up to their threshold velocity. There is also a method to predict theoretical performance of the unit per minute. The article also includes some recommendations in order to choose convenient mechanical tool depending on rock properties.

New Technical Solutions for Improving the Reliability and Efficiency of the Powered Supports Working in the Withdrawal of Coal-Based Plasts

The design features of single-row and double-row plow and combine shielded powered support, their advantages and disadvantages were analyzed. The construction of the mechanisms of the movement of the support units is considered. The necessity of using elastic mechanisms (ram tub-pushers) in the structures of the movement mechanisms is substantiated. Proposed new technical solutions for equipping a single-row section with a catamaran-type base and a two-row panel fastening section with a solid rigid base with movement mechanisms using elastic rods. Elastic rods are fixed in a flat pusher, moving out of the guides with hydraulic jacks of movement, keep the conveyor from sliding down the fall of the formation within their elastic deformations and the sections of the directed movement of the sections. Pivotally connected to rotating cylindrical drafts, a screed in a single-row panel section with a catamaran-type base provides longitudinal displacement of the base skis relative to each other, and rotating rods, located in the skid, their movement in the vertical direction when the section crosses the thresholds in the soil of the formation. Using of such movement mechanisms significantly increases the reliability and efficiency of mechanized complex.

Scientific Basis for the Development of Aggregated Tunnel Systems

The scientific and technical problem of creating competitive mining equipment of a new technical level determines the urgency of developing the principles of systematization, the functioning of synthesis and evaluation of the efficiency of aggregated tunnel systems (APS). The generalized structural and functional systematization of APS for drilling and blasting and combine mining methods is based on the principles of the system approach, reflects the unified rules for the construction of APS structures, is distinguished by a new set of classification characteristics and is the basis for the structural synthesis of new technical solutions. Simulation and statistical model of the functioning of drilling and blast-hole mining systems takes into account their structural states during the period of the given set of mine workings and models their functioning as a stochastic process. The proposed efficiency criterion makes it possible to perform a comparative assessment of the functioning and decide on the choice of the most rational transmission system, taking into account the degree of achievement of the required indicators. The order of procedures for structural synthesis of APS takes into account the conditions for the compatibility of elements and allows the development of promising options that are most effective under given operating conditions. The APS of the original principle of action is developed — the tunnel explosive-explosion complex of the PKVN. A distinctive feature of the processes of forming the cargo flow of the wedge traction and transporting body (TTO) of the PCVN is that the cargo volume at the outlet from the cell is determined by the load pressure on the bearing surface of the wedge conveyor. Procedures for parametric optimization of APS are distinguished by a two-step iterative implementation of the process of determining the basic design and technological constraints, formalizing the objective functions of the elements, and searching for optimal parameters.

The State and Some Directions of Upgrade of a Traction Drive of Mining Electric Locomotives

It is shown that the traction drives of the mining electric locomotives with series-wound DC motors and stepped speed control become out of date and need a serious upgrade. The promising direction of its further enhancement is the use of brushless electric motors: asynchronous with frequency control, gated and switched reluctance. At the same time the works on further less expensive upgrade of DC traction drive which potentialities have not been realized in full measure is steel in demand.
The efficiency of application of the chopper fed electric drive with controlled hardness of speed-torque characteristics is substantiated. An example of working up such a drive with series-wound motors and the cascade control system with proportional speed controller and relay current controller is considered. The variant of using electrochemical capacitors as an accumulator of regenerated energy is suggested. The results of computer simulation of the developed traction drive of mining electric locomotives are given.

Control of Sliding Plants in the Vertical Plane

The console-lever control system is used in the plough systems working with powered supports connected with conveyor. The difference of the control system in the vertical plane of a seam with horizontal hydraulic cylinders from the console-lever control system is that the control means provide for lifting or lowering only the face part of the conveyor. In this case part of the conveyor in a mined-out space is constantly on the foor, which eliminates the ingress of dust coal under the conveyor.
The height of linear sections of the conveyor can increase in a mined-out space by using of the console-lever system in the process of control that can be critical when mining of thin seams. The angle of inclination of cutting head may also change with change in the working geometry of the picks and with the occurrence of large side thrusts on them. These drawbacks are absent by using of control system with horizontal hydraulic cylinders.
Keywords: plow system, linear sections of conveyor, hydraulic cylinders, rise of the sock of detail in the form of the corner, floor picks, console-lever system, cutting head

Improvement of Efficiency Application of Powered Supports at the Reception Coal Plasts with Weak Soils

The reasons for the decrease in the efficiency of the powered support are revealed, the main ones being the indentation of the bases into the soil of the formation and the formation of the furrow during their movement. It is established that the pressure decrease at the base of the section of the powered support can be achieved due to the device of the turning front edge of the base, i. e. installation of rotary skids.
A technique has been developed for determining the lift of a rotary skid, which ensures the exit of the support section pressed into the soil and the technical requirements for the design of a rotary skid, which ensures the effective use of powered support in conditions with weak soils.
It is proved that the pick of the turning skid should be raised. The maximum angle of lifting of the pick of the turntable skid was established at the exit of the depressed section of the support and the area of application of the powered support by the criterion of the resistivity of the soil to shear
