Development and Research of Blade Impeller Strength with Cell Core Structure for Axial Mine Fans

Speed of rotation of the main airing impeller is limited to durability of shovels which experience considerable centrifugal strain. Decrease in centrifugal forces can be reached due to reduction of mass of working shovels. The way of decrease in mass of a shovel due to performance of her core in the form of cellular structure is offered. Results of research of tension on the example of a impeller shovel for the VOD-40 axial fan executed from an aluminum alloy are given. Calculations have shown that the shovel design with core cellular structure allows to increase the speed of rotor rotation by 1.8 times, therefore, in as much time fan productivity will increase. Thus it is possible to manufacture fans with higher productivity without increasing car dimensions.

Increasing of the Wear Resistance of Materials of Wearing Elements of Ore Dressing Equipment by Thermomechanical Treatment

Analyzed patterns of abrasive wear of steel 110G13L (Hadfield steel) as the main material of wearing elements of crushing and milling facilities — beaters, hammers, liners, etc. of crushers and mills, and possible ways to improve its durability. We describe a technique developed by the authors of high-temperature deformation of steel forging on a hydraulic forge hammer and experiments on samples of abrasion. Presentation of the test results showed that the hardness and wear resistance of manganese steels depend on the intensity of plastic deformation prior to harding, increasing its magnification. For maximum reached intensity plastic deformation increase the wear resistance of steel compared with the non-deformed steel reaches 70 %. We present dependence of the wear resistance of the steel hardness values HB, achieved as a result of plastic deformation. The authors conclude that the service life of wearing components of mining equipment can significantly increase the production of these elements hot forming and subsequent quenching.

Application of Fracture Mechanics Methods for Calculation of Loads Acting on the Cutters of Coal Mining Machines

Use in calculations of loading of the machine tool in the interaction it with the rock mass of classical strength criteria, such as the ultimate strength of rocks in compression, tension, shear, etc., does not always reflect the real process of destruction. Modern concepts about fracture of materials based on the provisions in fracture mechanics, which considering fracture as a process of propagation of cracks taking into account the stress condition at the top of it.
Improved method for the calculation of loads acting on the rotary cutters during the destruction of the coal by roadheaders and cutter-loaders are presented. The method is based on the mathematical model of destruction process of rock mass by the cutter of mining machines. The model is based on the solution of a boundary value problem of linear fracture mechanics and allows revealing the mechanism of the process by identifying patterns of cracks development under action of the cutter. In addition, the model allows determining the load on the cutter. The obtained calculated dependences for determination of the cutting and feeding forces when coals are destroyed.

The paper presents the analytical calculations of specific losses of pressure in hydraulic transportation of mixtures of iron ore tailings Kachkanar GOK for the storage of tailings in the tailings pond. The calculations were made based on the results of experimental studies depending on the specific head loss on the roughness of the inner surface of pipelines lined with polyurethane coating. The calculations were made based on the results of experimental studies depending on the specific head loss on the roughness of the inner surface of pipelines lined with polyurethane coating. During the experimental determination of the roughness of polyurethane coatings of pipelines established that the value of physical roughness of the coatings more than four times less than the roughness of the steel pipe, which leads to a decrease in hydraulic drag coefficients in the formula for the calculation of the specific head losses — Darcy-Weisbach formula. The paper presents calculations of the coefficients relative and equivalent rough-ness for pipes coated and un-coated. Comparative data show that the use of polyurethane coatings for pipelines reduces specific energy in hydraulic transportation of iron ore tailings Kachkanar GOK more than 1,5 times.

Straightline Drilling in Underground Conditions in Terms of Berezovskaya Mine: Case History

Coal mining involves drilling, which is required to be straightline. In various drilling approaches, hole deviation is mostly influenced by an increase in axial pressure on a drill string. A promising method of straightline hole-making is rotary—percussive drilling using down-the-hole air drill hammers with the much lower pressure exerted on the hole bottom. The article presents the small-size down-the-hole air drill hammer layout used to design and manufacture a pilot run of air drill hammers PNB76 for drilling holes with a diameter of 76 mm. The data on the laboratory trials of the hammers are reported. The commercial-scale pretesting in Berezovskaya Mine, Kemerovo Region, hasproved applicability of the drilling method. For adaptable operation at a compressed airpressure up to 0,6 MPa, the air distribution system of the hammer is added with an elastic ring-type valve, which allows increasing pressure in the power stroke chamber and enhances energy characteristics. Based on the test results, the improved air drill hammer model PNB76U has been designed. Also, a new-design edge-type drill bit with a lead cutting edge combines the advantages of the rotary and percussive drilling. The trials in Berezovskaya Mine have demonstrated potency of the down-the-hole air drill hammers in straightline drilling in coal mines.

On the Calculation Model for the Study of the Bending Vibration of the Main Fan Rotor

Improving the axial fan design methods led to the creation of highly aerodynamic schemes. Main fans began to be produced mainly in a single-stage design. Despite the simplicity of the kinematic scheme of it, the calculation of the frequencies of natural bending vibrations is very complicated. This is due to the transmission shaft connecting the fan shaft with an electric motor and two clutches compensation. Calculation of vibrations of this kind of mechanical systems is carried out with two-mass model. Due to the fact that at the initial stage fan design options considered several designs, it is important to have a simplified method for evaluating the flexural natural frequencies of vibrations of the rotors. The authors justified the using of single-mass rotor discrete model for calculating its natural frequencies of flexural vibrations, and justified relations of rotor design parameters at which a transition to an one-mass discrete model. It is shown in some cases it is necessary to take into account the mass of the fan shaft in the single-mass model. Correct use of single-mass model greatly facilitates the calculation of rotor vibrations compared to multimass. The calculation of the natural frequencies of flexural vibrations was made on the example of the rotor of VO-21 fan.

Detailed Calculations of Dynamic Operating Modes Electric Drives of Mining Machines

The issue of details calculations for dynamic modes of electric drives is considered. The attention is paid to procedure to analytical replace many-mass mechanical systems by other as equivalence two- or three-mass, it provides for gear ratios in the records of the reduced moments of inertia and shafts rigidity, which are assumed to be constant at all stages of the subsequent calculations. This constancy is violated in high-dynamic modes of the electric drive. It is proposed to consider the mechanical part of the electric drive as a set of rotating masses without ideology of reduction moments of inertia rotating masses, shafts rigidity and so on, in order to clarify the operational load of components of the electric drive.

Improving the Reliability of the Electromechanical System of the Coal Combine

Considered questions of increase of reliability of work of electric drive electromechanical systems of the coal combine through the use of neural network forecasting controlled electrical and mechanical parameters. Shows the control system of a coal combine in conjunction with neural block for control and forecasting. When approaching predictive values of controlled parameters to their critical values, the control system generates control actions, reducing the load on the power elements of the actuator, and issue a preemptive signal the need for maintenance in the near future. Given the structure of a hardware — software complex, which includes three levels of hierarchy. The lower level contains the sensors and transducers for measuring parameters of the main units of the of the coal combine and environmental factors, the middle level includes the technical conversion tool interfaces and subsequent collection of measurements, upper level, includes a set of automated workplaces of the manager functioning under the control of special software. The use of predicted values of the electric drive parameters allows to increase the mean time between failures and the availability factor of the electric drive compared with the control system without prediction parameters.

Regularities of Rock Destruction with a Single Blow

Authors analyzed the working conditions of chisels of impact breaking and shearing machines, described the developed method and installation by studying of penetration processes of chisel into rock and shock-abrasive wear of its material. When impacted by freely falling strikers (D = 6 mm, L = 25 mm, cone-shaped with an angle 30°) from steels 38ÕÌ (AISI4140) and 55Ñ2 (AISI9255) as materials of chisels, which differ in strength properties and wear resistance, to granitic fragments with strength f = 6,2 on M. M. Protodyakonov's scale, investigated the regularities of rock destruction with a single blow (v0 = 0,91 m/s, À0 = 1,16 J) by accounting the blunting process of strikers tip. Based on the provisions of two-element classical impact system, mathematical description of penetration process of striker into rock under the experimental conditions is proposed. The calculation results, confirmed by the experimental results, show that with a single blow of a cone-shaped strike into granite, the penetration depth decreases with increasing of blunt area diameter of the striker by a relationship close to linear; the form of dependence is given. The calculated values of single blow number, after which critical value of blunting area diameter is reached (dk* = 1,94 mm), and penetration of strike into rock is stopped, are 4096 blows for steel 38XM and 8 times more (32529 blows) for harder steel 55C2.
Authors conclude that the service life of chisel and the productivity of impact breaking and shearing machines can be significantly improved by manufacturing a chisel of more wear-resistant steels or by using methods that increase the hardness of chisel head, for example by cold treatment.

Increasing the Efficiency of Hydraulic Drives of Sucker-Hole Pumping Units for Oil Production

The design features of rod borehole pumping units with a hydraulic drive for oil production are considered in the article. The analysis of merits and demerits of used hydraulic drive systems of rod borehole pumping units is carried out. The urgency of the problem of increasing the efficiency of using oilfield pumping equipment by reducing specific energy inputs for production of reservoir fluid is proved. The results of pilot-industrial tests of hydraulic drives of rod borehole pumping units with pneumatic balancing and unbalanced energy recovery in the network are presented. It is proved that the use of hydrodrives of these structures does not ensure the operation of rod borehole pumping units with rational parameters, which results in increased specific energy inputs for oil production and a reduction in the between-repair periods of the pumping unit. The article proposes the construction of hydraulic drive rod borehole pumping units with cargo-hydraulic balancing, in which the shortcomings of the tested drives are eliminated. The use of the proposed hydraulic drive rod borehole pumping units provides stepless control of the magnitude of the stroke of the piston and the frequency of oscillations in wide ranges, which makes it possible to apply the drive with cargo-hydraulic balancing in wells with different geological conditions.
